Terrell Newby was Born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of June Ellen Rice Newby Bacon and Billy Newby. He is the eldest of two boys. His younger brother is Titus Newby. At the age of seven, Terrell became an avid reader of the mysteries of the Hardy Boys book series, Children of the Knight by John Blackburn, Dark Shadows, and Creature Feature, naturally drawn into intense stories with psychological and cathartic themes. Terrell is married and has two adult sons. He and his son own a Doberman named Oji. Terrell is fond of Conure and African Grey birds and enjoys collecting Red Devil Cichlids.

 

Terrell Newby is the author of a fiction novel based on interviews with former Palmyra High school teachers, residents, and janitors' paranormal high school experiences. Ghost of Palmyra High is currently in feature film development. The book is the first in a series of fiction novels currently under manuscript review. The genres are science-fiction, horror, and psychological thriller.

 

Newby is a former television news journalist, United States Army Airborne Veteran, alumni of Columbia College Chicago, and a graduate of the Argosy University Psychology Department. He attended elementary and high school at Oakwood College Academy, a West Suburban Consolidated Seventh-day Adventist K-12 School.
